The Burnished Double Monk is a men's slip-on with two buckled straps across the instep, in burnished, croc-printed genuine leather.
THE FORM
The Burnished Double Monk is a men's double monk strap shoe, cut low like a loafer. There are no laces: two narrow straps cross the instep and close with small metal buckles, so the shoe slips on and sits close to the foot. The almond toe is long and slim, which keeps the line clean under a trouser hem.
THE MATERIAL
The upper is genuine leather with a printed crocodile pattern over the whole shoe. It is burnished, so the colour deepens towards the toe and along the edges, and each pair shades a little differently. Black is the most discreet; the purple and the yellow shades are meant to be seen.
THE DETAIL
The two straps sit one above the other on a raised panel, and their buckles are the only metal on the shoe. A yellow leather lining shows at the collar. The rubber sole grips polished floors and wet pavements and keeps the shoe quiet underfoot, and a low heel keeps the stance level.
THE FIT
Most customers take their usual European size. Between sizes, take the lower for a snug instep and the higher for a wider foot. It comes in European sizes 38 to 47, and we answer sizing questions on WhatsApp before you order.

CARE
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let the shoes dry away from direct heat. Use a neutral cream sparingly, working it into the grain of the print, and keep shoe trees in them between wears.
