THE FORM
The Calvren brings the lines of a brogue to an ankle-high silhouette. These men's dress boots have an elongated toe, a low heel and a lace-up front that keeps the shape composed. Checked panels give the upper its character, while the curved wingtip draws the eye along the length of the boot. The result has the presence of a boot and the measured lines of a dress shoe.
THE MATERIAL
Polished leather frames the toe, lacing and heel, meeting checked panels across the instep and ankle. The finish catches the light without obscuring the lines of the design. In the photographed colourway, the deep blue leather darkens towards the toe, while a fine overcheck adds detail to the grey pattern. The contrast gives the upper the texture of tailoring.
THE DETAIL
Perforations follow the edge of the wingtip and trace the leather panels at the lacing and heel. A decorative pattern sits on the toe, and visible stitching defines the joins between the smooth and checked sections. Dark laces complete the front.
