THE FORM
The Harlan Heritage is a men's cap-toe ankle boot: the front of an Oxford, carried up to just above the ankle. A straight cap crosses the toe, the laces run up the front of the shaft, and the rest of the boot is left plain. Among men's cap-toe ankle boots, it is the most formal shape, drawn on the lines of a dress shoe.
THE MATERIAL
The upper is genuine leather with a smooth, burnished finish that shades from a rich brown on the shaft to almost black at the toe. Smooth leather takes polish well, and the shading deepens with every wear and every brushing.
THE DETAIL
A line of brogue perforations follows the seam of the cap. The boot laces up the front and holds close around the ankle, and a tan leather lining shows at the collar. The rubber sole grips polished floors and wet pavements and keeps the boot quiet underfoot, and a low heel keeps the stance level.
THE FIT
Most customers take their usual European size. Between sizes, take the lower for a snug instep and the higher for a wider foot. It comes in European sizes 38 to 47, and we answer sizing questions on WhatsApp before you order.
THE OCCASION
Wear it with a suit, or with tailored trousers and a jacket, at the office or out to dinner, or with senator wear for a formal evening. It looks best when the trousers fall cleanly over the shaft, so only the cap toe and the burnishing show.

CARE
