THE FORM
The Prestane is a men's cap-toe Oxford with closed lacing and a straight seam across the toe. A printed crocodile finish covers the cap and the vamp, smooth leather runs along the quarters, and the toe is burnished darker than the rest, so the eye goes first to the front. Among men's croc-print cap-toe Oxfords, it is the most traditional in shape.
THE MATERIAL
The upper is genuine leather. The printed crocodile sections give depth and catch the light, while the smooth quarters keep the shoe composed. The burnishing at the toe shades the colour from light to dark, which is why The Prestane looks richer in person than any single colour name suggests.
THE DETAIL
The lacing is closed, so the quarters meet neatly over the instep and the shoe sits slim under a trouser hem. The rubber sole grips polished floors and wet pavements and keeps the shoe quiet underfoot, and a low heel keeps the stance level over a long day.
THE FIT

CARE
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let the shoes dry away from direct heat. Use a neutral cream sparingly, working it into the grain of the print, and keep shoe trees in them between wears.
