THE FORM
The Renegade Zipper is a men's ankle boot with the look of a double monk: two buckled straps cross the outside of the shaft, while a zip on the inside does the work of getting it on and off. Of the men's double-monk ankle boots in the shop, it is the one that dresses up most easily.
THE MATERIAL
The upper is genuine leather. The vamp is smooth and burnished darker at the toe, and the upper part of the shaft carries a printed crocodile finish, which frames the buckles in texture. The two surfaces keep the boot rich without making it loud.
THE DETAIL
A punched medallion decorates the toe. The buckles sit on short straps and stay fastened; the inside zip opens the boot. A tan leather lining shows at the collar. The rubber sole grips polished floors and wet pavements and keeps the boot quiet underfoot, and a low heel keeps the stance level.
THE FIT
Most customers take their usual European size. Between sizes, take the lower for a snug instep and the higher for a wider foot. It comes in European sizes 40 to 46, and we answer sizing questions on WhatsApp before you order.
THE OCCASION
Wear it with slim tailored trousers, or with a suit in cooler weather, or with senator wear for evening events. Let the trouser break over the shaft so only the buckles and the burnished toe show.

CARE
Brush the smooth leather after wear and polish it with a cream of the same colour every few weeks; wipe the printed panels with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Let the boots dry away from direct heat, and keep boot trees in them between wears.
