THE MATERIAL
The leather upper has a natural surface and a soft sheen that catches the light without calling attention to itself. Fine grain gives the smooth leather depth at close range, while the checked panel at the heel introduces the character of suiting cloth. A fine blue line runs through the check, linking the patterned section to the clean leather around it.
THE DETAIL
A metal horsebit crosses the vamp, held by leather tabs and finished with a ring at either end. Perforations trace the apron and continue along the edge of the opening, bringing detail to the outline without disturbing its shape. Visible stitching follows the panels. Below, a dark sole edge and a low block heel complete the measured profile.
